Time and Material (T & M)
Occasionally, an unusual situation may require minimal attention or a custom fix may fall outside our general work spectrum of quotes. We jokingly call this, in some circumstances, "where Gray Matter has never been before." In these situations, we will charge a shop time of $35 dollars per hour, plus material. We have a full-service shop with many unique tools, specifically designed for the furniture trade and others; often, the fix is much quicker than you would think, especially when "you have the right tool for the right job."
In addition "a picture is worth a thousand words." If you have the ability to send us digital pictures by email, it helps immensely in evaluating each situation. So much better than; "the do-hicky that twisted up my seat, and left a gapping crack. I put a blanket on it, but I'm afraid the kids are going to jump all over it! And then we'll never be able to use it again!"
